Your first agent: one job, one tool, one approval

Start small: pick a job you do every week, connect one tool and decide what needs your approval.

The job

Write the job in one sentence, the way you would brief a new colleague on their first day. “Read every inbound lead and tell me whether it fits” is a job. “Help with sales” is not. If the sentence needs the word “and” more than once, it is two jobs, and the second one is your second agent.

The tool

Connect the one tool the job happens in. For leads that is the CRM, for invoices the accounting system, for tickets the issue tracker. One tool keeps the first week easy to read: every step the agent takes is a step in that tool, and you can check it there.

The approval

Decide the one step that waits for you. Anything that reaches a customer, spends money or changes a record is the usual answer. Everything before that step runs on its own, and you read the steps in the agent’s app.

The first week

Open the app every morning. Read the steps, comment where the agent went wrong, and watch the comments change what it does. By Friday you will know whether to let the approval go or keep it.
